Need to make a quick move

I’d lived in Jacksonville, Florida, for a little over eight years when I accepted a job on the other side of the country.

Although I was reluctant to leave such a beautiful area, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. The new job was a considerable promotion in status and increase in pay. There was also plenty of upward mobility. The only issue was that I needed to step into my role in two weeks time. That didn’t leave me much room to pack up, sell my house and secure living arrangements in the new location. I didn’t want to move while still owning property in Jacksonville. I had so many things to take care of that I didn’t have the time or energy to deal with home inspections, stagings, listings, open-houses and negotiations. I needed the sale to proceed quickly and with as little stress as possible. I couldn’t end up putting a new roof on the house or arranging plumbing repairs. I couldn’t risk the deal falling through because a potential buyer couldn’t secure bank financing. My best option was to contact a cash homebuyer. There are quite a few cash home buyers in the Jacksonville area. However, there are those that sell leads and are very impersonal. I preferred to deal with a locally-operated and family-owned company with a proven reputation for reliability. They were extremely helpful. Once I submitted the online contact form, everything happened very smoothly and quickly. I had an offer that same day and closed on the house in ten days. Because I received a lump sum, I was better prepared to house shop in my new location.
