Unsafe neighborhood

Unsafe neighborhood

The company is family-owned and local to Jacksonville, Florida

Right after getting married, my husband and I decided to buy a house. We were extremely young and had no real knowledge of how to go about the process. Our realtor showed us a truly beautiful home that was within our budget. We were amazed by the recently remodeled kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, granite countertop and breakfast bar. The bathrooms were entirely brand new and there were pristine hardwood floors throughout the home. We never questioned why such a sizable, modern and gorgeous home was listed at such a low price. We should have researched the local area. Once we bought the house and moved in, we discovered that the neighborhood is a problem. While there is a very affluent and desirable neighborhood just two blocks away, our nearby streets are unsafe. There are constant sirens, shouts and even the occasional sound of gunfire. I am afraid to go home after work until after my husband has arrived. If my husband needs to work late, I linger at a coffee shop, get groceries or go to the gym until he makes it home. We’ve installed a state-of-the-art security system with motion activated lights, surveillance cameras and alarms. There are sensors on the windows and doors and a panic button. We’ve experienced graffiti on our garage, vandalism to our cars and theft of packages left on the doorstep. We want to sell our house as quickly as possible. Listing the house through a realtor was frustrating and pointless. Our neighborhood deters potential buyers. Just recently, I saw an advertisement for a cash home buyer. The company is family-owned and local to Jacksonville, Florida. I completed the online form, supplying some basic information, and received an offer that same day. My husband and I talked it over and have decided to accept the offer.
